Data Deletion
Effective date: September 11, 2026 · Amended from the first version of September 9, 2026
How to request deletion
Email support@theworksitedaily.com with the subject line “Data deletion request”. Include the name of your organization and, if the request is about one connected platform, say which.
We confirm receipt within 5 business days and finish the deletion within 30 days. If we cannot delete something, we will tell you what and why rather than quietly leaving it in place.
You do not need an account to ask, and there is no charge for it.
If you have an account, you do not need to wait for us. An owner can sign in, open Settings and use “Delete my data”. That removes everything we hold about your operations straight away, without a support ticket and without a conversation. Your login and your company stay, so you can sign back in; the dashboard is simply empty.
Disconnecting a system yourself
You can revoke our access without contacting us. Sign in at theworksitedaily.com, open Integrations, and disconnect the system. Reading stops immediately.
For an advertising account you can also revoke from the platform side. On Facebook that is Settings, then Business Integrations, then remove the connected app. That revokes the token whatever happens on our end.
Revoking access stops new data being read. It does not by itself delete what was already stored, which is what the request above is for.
What we actually hold
Less than most people expect, which makes deletion requests simpler than they usually are.
We keep one piece of personal information about our customers' own customers: the customer's name on a field service job or callback. We keep no email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses or card numbers, and we do not read message contents. Where a platform lets us choose what to request, we ask only for what we keep. Those names are deleted with the rest of your data, on the same schedule.
For advertising platforms, we read that a lead form was submitted, along with the campaign and the cost. We do not read what was typed into the form.
The deliberate exception is your own staff. Team records hold the names and emails of your employees, because that is what the Team page is for. Those are covered by a deletion request in the same way.
If your trial ends, or you close your account
You do not need to send a separate request. A trial that runs out without a paid plan, an account you close yourself, and a payment that finally fails after we have retried it all start the same 90-day hold, so you have a quarter to change your mind or to export anything you want to keep. Nothing is charged when a trial ends.
When that hold starts we email you, and again at intervals during it: a confirmation on the day, a note a month in, a week’s warning and a reminder the day before. Each of those names the exact date your data will be deleted and links to a full CSV export of it. Nothing is deleted before that date. If you start paying again at any point before it, the countdown stops and nothing is deleted.
After the 90 days we delete the operational data we pulled from your connected systems, the reports we generated and the credentials for those systems. Your account and your company record remain, so you can still sign in, and so do your service type mappings, KPI targets, report schedules and team roster. If you come back later, you re-enter one key and we pull from that day forward: the earlier history is gone.
Generated reports and their stored PDFs are purged on their own schedule before that, once they fall outside your plan's history window: 120 days on the One System plan and 365 days on the Unlimited plan.
Retention after deletion
Cached operational data retrieved from connected platforms is held for 90 days after an account ends, then deleted from our active systems. A deletion you ask for yourself runs immediately instead.
Credentials, meaning API keys and OAuth tokens, are deleted from our live systems straight away when you disconnect the relevant integration, and otherwise at the end of that hold.
Encrypted backups roll off on their own schedule and are not selectively edited. Anything deleted from active systems is overwritten in backups within 90 days.
Account and billing records are kept for 7 years after the account closes, because tax and audit law requires it. Figures that have been aggregated so they cannot be traced back to you may be kept.

What changed on September 11, 2026
This page used to say we hold no names. We now keep the customer's name on field service jobs and callbacks, and it is deleted with the rest of your data.
What changed on September 10, 2026
- The hold after an account ends went from 30 days to 90. Until this date this page said 30, which was our practice until then.
- An account you close yourself, a trial that ends without a paid plan, and a payment that finally fails after we have retried it now all start the same hold. We email you on the day, a month in, a week before and the day before, each time with the deletion date and a link to export.
- An owner can delete everything straight away from Settings, with no request needed.
- This page now says what is deleted at the end of the hold and what stays.
- Credentials are deleted straight away when you disconnect a system. This page used to say within 30 days.
- Generated reports are purged once they fall outside your plan's history window. The figures themselves are kept.
